Meet Tracy
Tracy Fisher has served as a Coppell ISD School Board Trustee since 2012, an active community volunteer at the school, district, regional, and state levels for nearly twenty-five years. She is tenaciously committed to helping make public education a Texas priority. She promises to stand up for all Texas kids, provide proper 21st-century education, and keep Texas public school funds in Texas public schools.
A lifelong learner, Tracy's dedication as a school board member has included regional participation in the North Texas Area Association of School Boards, North Texas School Board Women's group, and North Texas Regional Consortium. At the state level, she has served as a Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) Legislative Advisory Council member since 2013 and on the Legislative Committee, an elected position, for six years. Her nearly ten-year service on the CISD School board has included president and vice president roles.
Fisher received the Leadership TASB 2019 "Celebration of Leadership" award, and in 2021, she received their first-ever school board "Advocate of the Year" award recognizing her impact at the state level.
Tracy has a diverse business leadership background in strategic and tactical roles -- Supply Chain Management at Frito Lay and Human Resources, Marketing, Customer Service, and Operations at LSG Sky Chefs. She has led large and focused teams, developed and trained management, including C-Suite level, and served as liaison to corporate customers like American Airlines. These significant organizational experiences and opportunities helped develop the innovation and transformational leadership skills that drive Tracy's education advocacy and community service.
Tracy is a proud third-generation Texan and devoted military daughter who holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Nebraska. She and Andy have proudly called North Texas home for more than 30 years, have two public schools educated, grown engineer sons, a wonderful daughter-in-law, and two curious young grandchildren just beginning public school.
Growing up in the military informed Tracy's love for the community. Once her father returned from Vietnam, they left Texas, moving and changing schools frequently. Regardless of the moves, the military was a close community, and that bond was essential. Later Tracy returned home to Texas, where she has been actively involved in her local community through her church, citizens on patrol, various civic clubs, and donating the fresh vegetables she grows year-round in her community garden.
Besides her commitment to education and community, her passion also lies in her work to support veterans throughout the Greater Dallas Area. She is a hereditary perpetual member of the Military Order of World Wars, serves on the Greater Dallas Veterans Foundation board, and proudly chaired the 2016 Greater Dallas Veterans Day Parade, Honoring the Military Family.
Tracy knows the value of authentic learning, transparency, and communication. She is a tireless advocate for kids, outstanding educators, and public education. She is excited to continue to support our exceptional schools. Together, we can elect her to prioritize our public school kids, educators, and local communities to serve all Texans better!
Tracy will work hard for Bosque, Clay, Comanche, Coryell, Eastland, Ellis, Erath, Hamilton, Hill, Jack, McLennan, Mills, Montague, Navarro, Palo Pinto, and Wise counties, and portions of Dallas, Denton, and Johnson counties.
